I am a mixed media artist and a surface pattern designer. I have a weird and wonky sense of humor, and my creations reflect that free spirit. Wildweed Studios isn’t just my business name. My maiden name is Weed and I am a wild child of the 70’s!

I am a Washington State native who grew up near the Puget Sound in Forks, WA. and have been influenced by this rugged majesty of our beautiful Pacific Northwest. Growing up here, I would often explore the woods, and run down slippery paths to the creeks near our home just to draw or write poems. I loved running off alone to study periwinkles, count baby trout, catch crawdads, and play in the currents.

My whole family were shake mill workers and the smell of cedar still intoxicates me. My grandfather and I spent many hours together in his shop tinkering and building. To this day, I can still smell his quilted shop shirt heavy with the scent of cedar.

Today, my life doesn’t seem far from that child who was mesmerized by nature. Being a creative living on our 5-acres at the coast, I have all the inspiration I need. It is my dream life! I get to pay close attention to the changing landscape throughout the seasons, fill my gardens with found and rusty objects, track our ospreys yearly nesting habits, comb the beach for another piece of treasure, and figure out how to grow roses!
